On January 13, 2017, Ester Eva, a 28 year old and mother of two, was diagnosed with stage 4 gastric cancer. She sat silently and nodded her head as she looked around as her family sobbed in each other’s arms. She didn’t feel like crying, but wanted to know more information. She didn't believe that the diagnosis was a death sentence. Instead, Ester Eva has chosen to fight. However, the cost to fight the good fight is greater than it ever should be. We need your help to offset these costs.
As most of know, Ester Eva has been part of the Newton community since grade school. She attended Lincoln Elliott, then went on to Bigelow Middle School and is a 2007 graduate of Newton North High School. Ester Eva went on to work towards a major in Industrial Design at Mass Art. While doing so, she had two children, Othinn Alexandar, 3 years old, and Viktor Thor, 8 months old, with her high school sweetheart Spencer Hall.
Spencer and Ester Eva are planning their wedding for this June.
To help offset the cost of medical bills, we are organizing a night of dinner, dancing, and auctioning on June 16th, 2017 at the Post 440 in Newton. We are having this fundraising event to help Spencer and Ester Eva continue their treatment and help offset all of the other costs that come with Cancer treatment – childcare, medical bills, transportation costs, in-home nursing services – and the list goes on. There will be options to participate in auctions and raffles.
To enjoy a night with your local friends and family, purchase a ticket here and join us for a great night!
